Whenever people first hear about the devastating reality of human trafficking and the modern-day slave trade they often ask, what can I do? The overwhelming scope of the problem can be intimidating and has the capacity to leave us feeling helpless. After all, when the problems that lend themselves to human trafficking are the juggernauts of globalization, expansive poverty, government corruption, and organized crime, what can we do? The answer is simple: we can pray.

Prayer is more than the concession of a people who have just barely not given up. Prayer is actually the single greatest weapon in our arsenal to fight human trafficking and the modern day slave trade, for the college freshman and for the senate majority leader alike. Whether or not we are in a vocational position (such as a missionary or an criminal justice lawyer) to institute change, each of us can lend our time and voice to prayer and be a true catalyst for freedom in our time as we shift the heavenly power base. If angels and demons do not move, nothing will change.

The City in Focus feature is meant to provide everyone with a prayer target for every month of the year. We've already received testimonies of miraculous breakthrough in the cities where we've prayed. When you decide to cry out for the City in Focus, you're deciding to join a global chorus of intercessors and prayer warriors who are crying out for the same thing. You're making your voice count by voting in the throne room of heaven and sowing into a revolution in the spirit that will upset the demonic power base that lords over women and children world wide.
