Fanatic Effect: Camille Mica

Camille Mica is a 19-year-old sophomore at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. Camille is the founder and justice coordinator for Unbound, a campaign that focuses on freedom from sexual violence in conjunction with Christ’s redeeming love. Through community screenings which include a viewing of Nefarious and presentations by various speakers, Camille hopes to spread awareness on college campuses. Camille also contacted her local sexual assault help center and asked how she could get involved in advocating against sex trafficking. After contacting the center, Camille began working as an intern. She is currently working with the Ohio Department of Health to co-author a portion of a human trafficking training program for state employees.  This program will focus on raising public awareness and assisting state employees with prevention efforts.

Incurable Fanatics like this are so crucial in the fight against human trafficking. Because injustice is so pervasive we need all hands on deck to bring freedom to every enslaved woman or child. There are as many ways to help as there are people who care.
