You told the sea where it could not cross;
I tell my heart where others must stop.
You place the animals in their rightful home;
I walked with a feeling that I do not belong.
You wrap Yourself in glorious light;
I wrapped myself in conclusions, drawn from sight.
Let me see again what righteousness is,
Show me that shame is not wisdom,
For it has felt like my only protection.
I want to meet the Man again
Who bled and died in front of them.
Teach me by defining
That the enemy’s words do not have to be so all confining.
Restrict the thoughts that lead me astray.
Bring me back to the Lion’s camp.
May I shed the scales that have left me looking for my lamp.
